Pokemon Valentine's

The Pokemon obsession is far from over... thus, I made Cole Pokemon Valentine's, he was so happy and a lot of kids really enjoyed them!

I used the same website www.mypokecard.com and Anime picture i drew for Cole's birthday invitation, to create the actual Valentine "card" i wrote something cheesy, like "I Choose you to have an Awesome Valentine's Day!" and used the blanks I had already created for the birthday party. printed it all on white cardstock. Once those were cut, i messed around with the cricut making circles until I had a big enough size to fit the cards. I cut red and white cardstock circles and cut them in half. and cut a black circle (about an inch) and a smaller white circle (about 3/4 inches). i used leftover scraps of Black cardstock i had and cut it into strips the length of the large circles (about 1/2 inch high.

Now to assembly, it was kinda a pain at first but once i did a few and got the hang of it, i was knocking them out pretty fast. so I first hot glued a black strip along the edge of the white half circle, then glued a red half circle on top to make a full circle  (poke-ball) with a black strip down the center. (that's the back) next i hot glued the other white half circle along with the one that was aleady part of the poke-ball alon the edge to form  pocket. then i hot glued another black strip along the top of the white half circle (and hot glued the smaller black and white circles to make the "button". I then hot glued the red half circle on top of the outer edge of the red one already connected to the poke-ball just at the top about two inches long.

Now you're done, just tuck the cards in the (white part) pocket (i did two blanks and one with Cole) and tuck in the top flap of the red half circle...

Our class required each name be put on the Valentine to ensure no one is left out, so I made cute sticker labels saying "Pokemon Trainer: X" as you can see. I found the font online (google free pokemon font)
